India’s first Green Hydrogen Fueling Station


The first green hydrogen fueling station in India is being installed in Leh, Union Territory of Ladakh. The plant is expected to be operational by May of next year[1]. It is a one-of-a-kind project being built by the state-owned NTPC.


Green Hydrogen, obtained by electrolysis from renewable electricity (which separates hydrogen from the oxygen present in water)[2], is positioned as one of the most important alternatives to traditional energy resources and helps us drive towards decarbonization of transport and sustainable mobility.
